Just received my online copy of the David Suzuki Foundation newsletter and thought I would share it with you. This edition is about transportation. I hope that you find it as informative as I do.

Speaking of transportation, I met an interesting homeless guy yesterday who finds (or is given) old bicycles and rebuilds them to sell to people. He said it's better than collecting welfare. He was riding around on one of them last night towing a trailer that he had built himself to carry his repair items around.

Because he doesn't have a home or telephone, he was unable to give me any contact information but if you are looking for a refurbished bicycle, and you happen to be out by the Superstore at Canwest Mall, you can look for him riding around the parking lot there. You'll know him as he is the only guy to be towing a homemade bike trailer...

He seemed like a nice enough fellow but I cannot be certain that his found bikes were really found or whether they were the product of a five finger discount. You get what you pay for, I suppose...
